24 students of the "Universität des 3. Lebensalters" (University of the Third Age, U3L) were guests at FIAS on April 17. They listened with great interest to the presentation by FIAS Fellow Franziska Matthäus on research at FIAS.

The guests were particularly impressed by the magnificent view of the Goethe University campus from the roof of FIAS. Here, U3L lecturer Bruno Streit, former GU-Professor of Ecology and Evolution, gave a - literal - overview of the natural sciences at Frankfurt University.

In her lecture, Matthäus presented the research areas as well as the tasks and objectives of FIAS. Lively questions proved the interest of the U3L students in the interdisciplinary and non-profit institute.

The Univeristy of the Third Age is an educational institution at the Goethe University for post-professional students who would like to engage in further academic training.
